Army Run 5k

I completed the Army Run 5k this morning and, although crowded, it was a very nice run. We ventured through downtown Ottawa, along the scenic Colonel By and Queen Elizabeth Drives, finishing at Confederation Park.

It was scenic. It was congested. Lots of families, some walkers -- so many people! And it was cold. By the end, my throat was raw but I was very happy with my time.

It was really inspiring to see some of the injured soldiers completing the course as well in wheelchairs and with prosthetic limbs. Sort of provided that incentive to suck it up and keep on pushing to the end...

My results: 28:08 mins. 75/482 Women 30-39. 321/1735 Overall Women.

Here's a pic of the medal. I love that they gave us dog tags. :)
