Should this be sold at all?

On the one hand, it's good to know what's potentially in the products we buy. On the other hand, should companies be permitted to sell us products containing known carcinogens or should they face some sort of major tax that would encourage them to be more health conscious?

Case in point: features an MP3 player shaped like Mickey, with the following disclaimer:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
