Possibly the kewlest school project that ever was

If this is what science class is about now-a-days, I wanna go back to school.

Some students from the University of Cambridge worked with local school kids to send 2 teddy bears into space this week. The students, aged 11-12, helped to make the space suits for the bears.

The bears were sent up using helium balloons, attached to a box containing instruments and and cameras. They hit an altitude of 30,000 m and experienced temperatures between -40 and -50 degrees.
