1 Billion surfers a month on the Interweb

Visualization of the InternetIn case you hadn't heard the news this week, the web has broken some records recently. comScore, a digital marketing and measurement firm, released the results of a recent measurement report, claiming that Internet usage reached 1Billion/month in December.

So just who's surfing the web?
- over 40% in Asia-Pacific
- 28% in Europe
- 18% in North America
- 7% in Latin America, and
- just under 5% in Middle East and Africa.

I find it amazing that since I'm surfing largely English sites, the web can seem so "Western". With so much traffic in A-Pac, I wonder how different our web experiences are...
