Next ice storm I'm getting a Prius!

This is ingenious. John Sweeney, an electrical engineer, used an inverter to generate 17 KWH to power appliances, a wood stove fan etc. for a few days. Why did this work? Because when the Prius battery starts to die, the car engine turns over and recharges the battery!!! And to think, I spent 7 days in the country keeping a wood fire going in the woodstove and showering in ice-cold water. Would have been much better off with a Prius, I tell you!!!
