March 24: Geek Girl Pride day

I learned recently that March 24th is Geek Girl Pride Day. Ok, well, not exactly. It's Ada Lovelace day. But essentially, it's the same thing.

Ada Lovelace is credited as being the world's first computer programmer. In her honour, March 24th is designated as an international day of blogging to celebrate women in science and technology.

I'll be writing and posting a special women in tech post to honour this day. If you're interested in doing the same, check out Finding Ada {note: the site is somewhat intermittent}.

Need to learn more about Ada? Check out these great, entertaining resources:
Don't forget to check back in on the 24th! And if you're planning to blog for Ada, why not leave a link to your site in the comments, so we can check it out!
