Kewl Design Alert: Hickies Mean No More Shoelaces

You never know what you might find on Kickstarter. Here's a little gem highlighted by Swissmiss recently that I completely fell in love with.

Hickies are stretchy shoelace replacements and they're rather ingenius. You use one per pair of eyelets on your shoes and locking them together with an eye-hook design. The result is a clean look that is easy to slip in and out of.

Naturally, these would be great for kids, but I'm also thinking that they would be great for us kids of the 80s. I mean, don't they remind you of Michael J Fox's Nike Mags from Back to the Future? And we all wanted those self-lacing shoes... Fake 'em if you got 'em...
