Blog Out Loud: 5 Reasons You Need to Be There

Will you join me at Blog Out Loud Ottawa this Thursday?

I've been going to BOLO for the past couple of years. I look forward to it every year and each time I go it's a completely amazing time. It's basically like a poetry reading for bloggers: 21 people stand up in front of a room of Ottawans and read their best posts. In their voices, as they were meant to be heard. What could be better than that? Only a writer can truly convey the emotion they originally intended in the post. It's a truly unique experience.

Buuuuuuuuut if you are still on the fence about going, here are the 5 best reasons I can give you for getting off your couch this Thursday:
  1. It's a veritable who's who of the Ottawa blogging scene;
  2. There's something for everyone: posts cover everything from tech to food to family (Here's the lineup);
  3. You'll laugh and cry and blush and laugh some more;
  4. There's time built in for chatting with the crowd between every block of posts, so it's not just a bunch of talking heads;
  5. I'll be there! Ok, ok, that's not much of an enticement. There will also be a whole bunch of other people: readers and listeners alike.
I've read in the past but this year my job is to live Tweet the event. If you can't make it out, you can follow along at @bolottawa.

Otherwise, I hope to see you Thursday at 7pm, at The Arrow and Loon (corner of Bank and Fifth). Come early to get a good seat!
