This Is Madness: Vote for Your Favourite Star Wars Characters in Online Face Off

Star Wars is an epic battle between the forces of good and evil. But it's really not all so black and white, is it? There's something about the struggle to know yourself that is so captivating: are you a Sith or a Jedi? At any moment, that isn't necessarily set in stone.

And in the ultimate battle, who would really win? That's the big question, isn't it? It's the uncertainty that makes the series so captivating: sometimes the good guys get ahead, sometimes they fall behind. Other times it's not so clear who is on which side. You probably have your favourites, right? Well the Star Wars site wants to know who you would choose to win in head-to-head battles on both sides of the force.

From now until Tuesday, April 9th, you can head over to and cast your vote in head-to-head match-ups between light and dark side characters. The most favoured characters from each round will move on in a round-robin style competition until one side is declared victorious.

Forget basketball, it's March Madness, Star Wars style!

So here's what you need to do: every day, head to This is Madness! on the Star Wars site and vote for your favourite in 2 match-ups: one for the light side and one for the dark side. When the daily votes are tallied, the winner from each match-up will move on to the next round. If you get it, Unite on ESPNU will be airing the daily results at Midnight ET each day of the competition. Otherwise, you can find out when you return to the site to cast your daily vote. The final vote will decide between the last standing members of each side in the ultimate face-off: light vs. dark.

Who will you vote for? Who will make it to the end? Which side will prevail? The Dude is betting on the dark side, his Dad and I are for the light side. Only a few weeks till we know who's right. Meantime, Darth Vader needs a word...
