Spacebound: An Adorable, Emotional Short Film About The Love Between A Boy and His Dog While Lost in Space

Let's start with the synopsis from the official Spacebound website:
When Death’s door is only a few breaths away, how would you choose to spend your last moments?

A young boy and his dog is stranded in space and running out of oxygen. This is a story not about the end, but about the journey one takes to get there.
Doesn't that sound intriguing?

Here's what you need to know:
  • there's not a line of dialogue but you'll fall in love with the characters in an instant;
  • it's adorable: they're exuberance is palpable;
  • it's unnerving: every time the boy looks at his monitor, your heart breaks a little;
  • it's a choose-your-own-adventure: the ending is up to you.
Kudos to Ellen Su and Kyle Moy, the illustrator and animator, respectively. Personally, this was a highlight in my day.

Now take a look and let me know what you think!
