Homemade Lego Advent Calendar 2014: Day 2

The story behind the Homemade Lego Advent Calendar: We opted not to buy the Dude a Lego Advent Calendar for the past couple of years. The Dude was quite amenable, countering with: "Ok, then you have to build me something every day until Christmas." Challenge  accepted! This is the series of daily posts, cataloguing my builds.

Today's build is based on one of the Dude's favourite video games. Can you guess who this is supposed to be?

For those of you unfamiliar with the video game Castle Crashers, this is the Red Knight. Here's another look:

Not bad, eh? I was hoping to stump the Dude a bit but make it as recognizable as possible. I'm pretty happy with the result.

The inspiration for this build was this Lego Red Knight I found online. Not having any instructions, and not wanting to use as many pieces (I still have 22 more builds to do!), I had to get somewhat creative with my design. I did manage to stump the Dude for a moment and then he recognized the character from his beloved game.

I consider that a win :)
