Homemade Lego Advent Calendar 2014: Day 23

The story behind the Homemade Lego Advent Calendar: We opted not to buy the Dude a Lego Advent Calendar for the past couple of years. The Dude was quite amenable, countering with: "Ok, then you have to build me something every day until Christmas." Challenge accepted! This is the series of daily posts, cataloguing my builds.

Today's build is part 2 of 3: The fireplace came from yesterday's Elf on the Shelf build. Today's additions to this evolving build are the tree and presents:

Full disclosure: I built the tree first before I even built the room, so that the fireplace and everything would be to scale. Then placed a square brick where it would go, in order to finish the room for yesterday's build. (Insert nerd comment here)

I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of the Advent Calendar! See you tomorrow for part 3 of 3!
