Homemade Lego Advent Calendar 2015: Day 16 - Batman Tumbler

The story behind the Homemade Lego Advent Calendar: We opted not to buy the Dude a Lego Advent Calendar for the past few years. The Dude was quite amenable, countering with: "Ok, then you have to build me something every day until Christmas." Challenge accepted! This is the series of daily posts, cataloguing my builds.

Today's build was hard. I spent about half an hour looking for all the small black pieces I could find. I tried to base my design off these instructions from BrickShelf but naturally, I was missing a lot of pieces. Then I spent two hours building and re-building what finally became all 3 inches of this:

Barely three inches long and barely an inch high. Two hours. Being all black, it's insanely hard to photograph. And, even better, if you try to drive it, it immediately shatters. (Which partially explains the 2 hour build and re-build time.) Isn't that insane? Yes. Yes, it is. I really hope the Dude likes it after all that!!!

See you tomorrow!

Previous build - Day 15 - C3P0 & R2D2
Next build - Day 17 - Computer Desk
